What's New and Roadmap
New Dialog Widget
The Dialog is completely new for the R3 release and like the Kendo UI for jQuery Window component, it requests an action from the user via a popup dialog in your web applications. It differs from the Window component in that it has a few additional features like an optional title and a footer containing one or more buttons. The Dialog control's display is consistent with the current theme and supports content localization.
New Media Widget
The Media Player is a lightweight component which allows you to play audio and video files in your web sites. It works with files of any HTML5-supported format, including WebM, Ogg, MP4 and WAVE. You can also play YouTube videos.
Dropdowns / Numeric Usability Enhancements
There are numerous enhancements to our popular Dropdowns widget group which includes the DropDownList, ComboBox, MultiSelect and Autocomplete widgets. Enhancements include the addition of footer and No Data templates, automatic width of a DropDownList and the ability to clear ComboBox selected or entered values.
