Fingerprint SDK is a Software Development Kit (SDK) that provides a flexible platform for the development and programming of biometric fingerprint recognition into any application. This is one of the best biometric SDK components for authorization systems, transaction systems, time and attendance, point-of-sale identification, physical access control, and any other application that can benefit with the convenience of biometric identification. The goal of our SDK is to allow companies to customize their own existing applications to incorporate biometrics as a means of authentication without having to buy new software or change existing infrastructure.
Fingerprint SDK is designed for applications on stand-alone PCs, networked PCs, client-server based web applications, and any other computer scenarios. Our SDK includes the support for over 50 different fingerprint readers, and we continue to add support for new fingerprint readers as they are released. This product supports dozens of programming languages; can be run on Windows, Linux, and Android operating systems, and comes with a fully developed demo application and easy to use source code samples. Along with our thorough documentation and support you will start integrating your biometric application in just a matter of hours!
Full Feature List
Biometrics for all:
Web and enterprise development for applications on stand-alone PCs, networked PCs, client-server based web applications, and any other computer scenarios.
Windows and Linux.
ARM Processor Support:
Fingerprint SDK can be ported to mobile devices and operating systems, including Android , Windows Mobile, and Linux. Please contact us for a quotation.
Independence of sensor:
50 different fingerprint readers are supported! Usually, the fingerprint libraries provided by fingerprint reader manufacturers only support their own device. Fingerprint SDK supports multiple fingerprint readers allowing the developer or End User to choose the most suitable reader. Evan after the application has been developed and/or deployed Fingerprint SDK allows you to change the fingerprint reader hardware without modifying your code!
Easy and intuitive:
Other fingerprint SDK recognition libraries only provide an interface in a cumbersome DLL, where you need to create import files for the language you are using, among other obstacles. Fingerprint SDK offers muliple interfaces in ActiveX, DLL, Java and .NET components!
Easy to learn:
Our SDK supports multiple programming languages, and includes source code examples in programming languages that use the ActiveX component, Dynamic Link Library (DLL), Java packages, and .NET library. Source code samples are available at our Download Page.
Use your preferred programming language:
The Fingerprint SDK supports multiple programming languages including Java, Delphi, Visual Basic, C++, .NET, FoxPro, Perl, PHP, ASP and many others.
Fingerprint template consolidation:
Our SDK is designed to improve the recognition rate so that the more a person uses and is recognized by the system; the more precise the enrolled biometric information becomes by improving the quality of the fingerprint template, thus reducing the database size and identification time.
The way you need it:
Most solutions only offer a one-to-one or one-to-little match which can only be used for fingerprint verification purposes. Using Fingerprint SDK you have unlimited one-to-many fingerprint matches which make it one of the best biometric SDK’s for fingerprint authentication.
Outstanding fingerprint matching speed:
Fingerprint SDK has been rated one of the fastest algorithms for fingerprint matching speed in the industry; it will be more than adequate for the most demanding applications.
Biometric data interchange and interoperability standards:
Fingerprint SDK is compliant with ISO 19794-2 and ANSI 378-2004
A support tool that runs as an icon in the system tray that shows useful information for technical support and provides online activation.
Fingerprint SDK is the powerful technology behind thousands of biometric transactions made daily, and has been used in government and civil programs in over 80 countries across the world.
In 2003 Fingerprint SDK was tested by one of the world’s best fingerprint recognition system by the NIST and successfully passed. In 2006 Fingerprint SDK was announced as the best recognition algorithm across all fingerprint databases in the Fingerprint Verification Contest (FVC2006).
Fingerprint SDK requires the use of a product key in order to activate the licensed copy for every computer the software is installed on. This can be done through a online activation process or through the use of a USB Key and the Griaule License Manager. For more information, go to How to License.
30-Day Free Trial:
You can download our Fingerprint SDK trial, and test it to create your applications and use it non-commercially for 30 days (trial license must be requested online). Once you decide to purchase, you won't even need to reinstall the software!
Driver-less Microsoft Fingerprint reader and Digital Persona support:
You don't need the manufacturer's drivers or SDK (API). Our SDK comes with its own driver for these readers.
Ph.D. research team:
The Griaule Biometrics team continues to improve the quality of the algorithms used with Fingerprint SDK to increase the recognition rates and to ensure our SDK is working with the latest versions of Windows and Linux operating systems. The key members of our team have outstanding knowledge and publications on image processing, computer vision, and other related fields.
